Originally purchased by Mark Stephenson in 1985, Stephenson’s Training Centre has grown to become the
premiere standardbred training facility that it is today.

Still to this day, Stephenson’s Training Centre is 100% family owned, and has expanded over the years
from the single original barn to the 5 barns currently in use.

Large expansion of the facilities began in 1997 with the renovation of all buildings on the property at the
time, and the building of a new barn.  Further development came in 1999 with the building of another large
barn filling in the last of open space around the track side.  During this year a sand track was installed within
the centre of the existing track.

In 2003, the maintenance facilities were reorganized on the property and moved across the farm to another
larger building leaving the ability for renovation of the first building.  This building was completely renovated
into a new barn and a further addition was added.

Today Stephenson’s Training Centre ranks as one of the top standardbred training facilities in the area, with
close proximity to Flamboro Downs at a reasonable stall rate.
